Right now i’m running CC2014. Just updated it. I’m having to use the sublclips only as reference, taking the code from the sub and pasting it back into the master clips. So the code seems fine in the viewer, but putting it in timeline it’s completely wrong.

Not for nothing, but I have had the same thing happen in PP CC and it’d happen out of nowhere, but usually right after launch. I’m running a project in mxf and it takes the engine a while to “load” all the media. I’ve rebooted and that fixed the problem, but this time, while taking the time to read this thread, I just left PP sit, and when I went back it was playing fine. It’s like it’s playing a “proxy” or interpreted clip while it’s figuring out the rest. At least this time. Just FYI. Steve

Ok, so I figured out my own problem… operator head space issue.

I stumbled onto the fact the there are two places where you can turn the DOF on or off. Seems someone reset the preset and I didn’t know it.

So… if you are like me, I was selecting the DOF rendering option in the composition window where you select all the render options. That was working for me (since I got on the software). BUT… when you go to export the movie, under the options tab, there is another overriding option that either selects your options from your work, or gives you the chance to create a different export preset.

In that menu, somehow the option for DOF got turned off, and the option to ignore my project render settings was disabled.

So there you have it, I just didn’t know the software well enough.

    Steve.

    Thanks for the quick response.

Motion blur is not enabled. But DOF is.

Thanks lads. Too bad, I hope they make it accessible right out of FCP.

    Cheers.
