  • My understanding is you need DVDSP3. I believe when you install the New Suite Upgrade, it will ask for your current serial numbers.

  • If you own FCP, DVDSP 3 and Motion, you qualify for the Suite upgrade.

  • $500 for the Suite upgrade instead of $700. You can’t beat the price for what you are getting in return. We are all in the same boat. If you are making money with the application, money should not be an issue.

Let the trim edit window be your best friend. You can you can use JKL with audio scrubbing to slip, slide, ripple and roll.
Just double click between edit points.

Over 4 hours long! Split your project into multiple sequences. Depending on your system, if your still cache is set up correctly and if you don’t have any filters applied to your slides, you should not have to render if using RT Extreme. You may need to render your final project for output.

Are your putting this project on one Dual Layer DVD or multiple DVD’s?

What format is the video? DV, DVCPro, Betacam.

The graphics will look only as good as the originals. Make sure they are title safe and also readable. Any font lower than 25pt will be very hard to read. Make sure you are monitoring on an NTSC/PAL monitor.

Give us more details about your computer system.

I believe you need to reinstall FCP on your system.

Try this, go into your Audio/Video settings. From there select Capture Presets. Select DV NTSC 48 kHz (assuming you are using NTSC). Down below, select edit. Under QuickTime Settings and Digitizer, what does the Input say? It should say DSR-11. Rename this setting DV NTSC 48kHz DSR-11. Also check out your Device Control Presets. Make sure that is set to Firewire NTSC.
