There’s a big year ahead for both Premiere and FCP – Premiere Pro should improve considerably with it’s next release, Adobe are finally serious about positioning it for the Pro market, and I would expect full support for the HVX, FCP should also come of age as well, there seems to be a lot of under the hood changes in version 5 that haven’t been fully implemented yet. When the new Intel G5’s come out, you’ll probably be able to run both apps on one machine!

How are you finding it? We are finding it’s a great second cam to use on Digibeta shoots so you should be finding the same with your DVC Pro 50 material.

I agree it’s not exactly the best looking camera, but most will argue it’s the pictures that count and from the footage that is now starting to appear they seem to be very good.

If you have a Z1 and someone else has a HVX200 then only the HVX is “True HD”
If you have an HVX 100 and someone else has an F900 then only the F900 is “True HD”
If you have an F900 and someone else has a Viper then only the Viper is “True HD”
