    Very unusual camera release!
I have not seen anything like that in more then 20 years of business..
First they print brochures, then they produce “models” and now they are on
holiday….Panasonic Marketing Department in FULL swing!!
If the boys from Mercedes were releasing new models of cars like that, half of the worforce would be out of job.
I just wish I myself could work like that and still get paid…..
…..is there anybody out there who has received this mystery camera???

If you have something to hide mystery works in your favor. What could they possibly have to hide, we will soon find out.

What a surprise, a camera that sells for under $10,000 that does much of the feature sets found in $60,000 cameras.

Were corners cut to do it? You betcha…

Were those corners enough that it puts it beyond your usefulness? You be the judge…

I have been talking with one of the Cow leaders who has been using one for some time now and he’s a happy camper. Does he think it’s a perfect camera? Hardly. But is he impressed with it? Absolutely.

Some of the whiners in this forum make me think that I am glad I am not your kid, you’d have thrown ’em out with the bath water because they weren’t born running a marathon or being a real estate tycoon or a doctor.

One gentleman took shipment of a production model in Japan yesterday.

Yeah- gimme a break Jiri. Panasonic’s been up front and above board with the HVX200 every step of the way, following the marketing and release pattern of the original DVX100 almost to the letter. Perhaps it’s just your feverish desire making you a little cuckoo?

Actually, the guy in Japan has now posted native footage at his web site.

Since You know it all, give me some solid details on CCD and some test results.
You must be the kind buying the cars without the knowledge of how many cylinders they have….

Before Z1,Canon H1 and JVC 100 were released,we all knew the specs and we all could really test each all of them BEFORE delivery and I really mean test it.So what is wrong with this.
..I really wonder who actually is “a little cuckoo” here…

Great Ron.Would it be possible for him to give us some feed back and test results??
Since I have got 2/3′ DVCPRO 50 equipment,Pana200 would be good for some extra shots.I am not expecting anything dramatic from Pana200,but some decent suplement to my current gear.

I just find it amazing if I ask on 30th of December about CCD,I am getting no answers.
