If you just take the fridge element in a new project and just run it across the screen on a light background, do you get the same thing?
You could also try reducing the black levels for this element, it might be the rolloff on the antialiasing is having to do too much in a short span: going from super black to white.

If you change the resolution of the timeline monitor (where the layers are) to a lower rez, the icons get bigger. You don’t really need the higher rez for this panel and the UI icon designers haven’t taken in to account the ever increasing rez that the monitor manufacturers have conned us into buying.

Does it have to be 3D? Everything I see there could just be done with fake parallax shift in 2D.
I thought it might be something with the prores but your timer slider on the bottom is really clean.
I didn’t see AE’s built in motion blur in the list. Is that turned on for that layer? and in the render settings?
The fridge is a different quality than the other graphics, almost as if its been blown up in a sub comp. Is the move happening in a sub comp or are there two cameras (one in the outer an one in the inner) competing?

  • Did I miss what version of Trapcode? The newest one (just out) has some OS and AE version requirements that may not be compatible with older versions (sigh). The march of planned obsolescence continues.

Sorry, didn’t finish the thought. The repeater’s transform is also where you put the rotation, and not in the “outer” transform.

Inside the transform of repeater 1 (not the transform for the group or shapes, I know – couldn’t find another name for it?) is an offset which defaults to 100. Change that to 0.

Turns out I was going to the second “stylize” selection in the drop down effects menu. Who designs two menu items with the same name in the same sub menu? If you go to the first “stylize”, old friends reappear. Yes, technically that second set is photoshop filters, but when you are working fast…
Sorry, bad UI design is a pet peeve.

Do you want the movie to color the blocks? Or just use it for a displacement? If the former, you have to turn color mode on in the shader and turn off the alpha strength checkbox.

And are you aware you have blocks three deep in the y? These aren’t really showing because they are on top of each other but may cause glitches in the final render where they overlap. Change the y to 1 in the clone count unless you have some use for these, or increase your Y size of the cloner array so they can separate.

And whoops – I suggested 90 degrees but in fact in that project I posted its set incorrectly to -90. Here’s the corrected one and I have jacked the number of cubes so you can see that the text is coming through. (I’ve also taken off the chamfer on the cubes to reduce update lag, just for viewing)

Ah ok, by working i meant it was reacting to the texture. Try changing your falloff to linear in the shader and rotate the shader widget 90 degrees – see attached. I think this is displaying correctly but of course the coarse resolution of the blocks reduces what you can see. (I also switched the shader and material to use the luma channel to rule out any other issues)
