    Hi

Is there a way to completely customise the ‘layers’ panel in AE. All the icons and values are tiny on my screen and I just want to zoom in/make it larger/strip it down to just what I need.

    Thanks

    Chris

There is but only for position & size, not scale. In fact if you have a 2nd monitor, I’d recommend breaking the entire panel out & put it there, which is what I evenutally had to do. Single monitor, probably need to make task specific workspaces.

Thanks! so what do you mean by ‘only for position or scale’? what can I do to adjust these? I am working on two monitors…would it be a case of altering resolution to make the panel appear larger?

If you change the resolution of the timeline monitor (where the layers are) to a lower rez, the icons get bigger. You don’t really need the higher rez for this panel and the UI icon designers haven’t taken in to account the ever increasing rez that the monitor manufacturers have conned us into buying.
