I wish it was bigger. It is really hard to see. I would use the Bezier tool again and make the boarder. I would add a drop shadow and turn it into a gradient as well. Hope this helps.

For my Italy Time lapse video each time lapse was about 5 seconds x 24 frames = 120 frames. However I did a lot of time lapses and the amount of pictures I took really added up. At night 5 seconds would take me about an hour during the day 5 to 20 minutes.
All of the camera moves I did in After Effects could be done in Motion. Check out this spot I did in Apple’s Motion: https://vimeo.com/28956907
As for the Light Leak template I built in Motion, I only built it as a template so people could alter the light leak if they wanted to. What you do is take the video and place it above your clip in FCP and add a Screen or Add blend mode to the Light Leak clip or project file and it give it the look just like in my Italy Time lapse video.

Bruce, Molte grazie.
1. I shot with the Cannon T2i. I have an intervalometer that attaches to my camera so I can set it to take lots of photo over a distance of time. I didn’t bring a slider and added the moves in After Effects.
2. I built some of the transitions in Motion and they can be purchased here on the COW: https://stockyard.creativecow.net/project-files/4812_light-leak-and-film-flash-template
I’m working on updating my Light Leak transitions.
3. This was my first real attempt at Time lapse photography and a learned a lot from the experience and will do an even better job my next go around. For the freeze frame I walked in front of the camera once I new I had enough photos and stood there for about three photos and then did the move in After Effects.

When you export out the clip you can change the size of the footage to match your FCP sequence if you are having trouble.

I would use the Bezier tool to draw the shape. Then I would go to the Inspector, Shape, Style. change the Fill Mode from Color to Gradient and you will be able to achieve the same look.
