Your post is way to long. Typically when you see the After Effects error: RAM Preview needs 2 or more frames to playback that means your In and Out points is just one frame and you need to adjust them. Hope this helps and best of luck.

Dang, that isn’t good that it didn’t work. If you have to go the masking route you can then add shadows back in with color mattes. Sorry about the bad news. Hopefully someone has a better idea then mine. Have you tried playing with the different Replace Methods? Sometimes switching it to Hard Colour or the other options works.

I have found luck with keying situations like this. With keylight I select the green shadow (darkest green) instead of the lighter green that is in the majority of the shot. That usually solves the problem. If not then you will need to mask it out. Which luckily your shot is locked down.

Because the shots dollys and the camera rotates the 3D Tracker is best. Flicker is cased by very thin lines. Can you thicken any of the lines you are having problems with? Premiere had de-flicker capabilities but they aren’t very good. I’m not sure if AE offers anything for this situation.

Take a look at the following sample I built.
I built what I described but added an adjustment layer and the Directional Blur Effect. I used keyframes to increase its value from 0 to 250 and then back to 0. See screen grab for reference. Hope this helps.
I played around a little more and I like the direction of the blur at 95%.
