Okay, I just compress the movie that I built. I make sure it naturally ends the way it starts. I bring the mpg2 video into DVD studio pro as many times as I can. There is a gage that tells you when you are getting full. That way I only compress I five minute video instead of a hour long one. Set it to loop in DVDSp and you will only have the 2 second lag once an hour as it loops throughout the day. Best of luck.

If you are holding down the mouse button and not letting go as you scroll and doing this in the HUD it should work. You may want to take a look at this article: https://support.apple.com/kb/HT1885

In the behavior section under Retiming there is a loop behavior, or you can go to the Properties tab and under timing you can choose an End Condition such as loop. There are more ways but that is the easiest to explain. By the way, when you add the End Condition Loop you need to increase the duration of the clip, you will see a little line the indicates where the loop starts.

In FCP, when you have your title safe turned on you will notice two rectangles, one for title safe and the other for motion safe, you will also see short lines that poke inwards for those rectangles. Those are there to tell you what is title safe for a HD to SD downconversion for broadcast.

Thanks for your reply, it sounds like you have done a lot of time-laspes. I still have not purchased an intervalometer yet. Philip Bloom recommended this intervalometer, unfortunately, since this post was started it has not been available for purchase. I e-mailed Opteka on the 15th and they said it will be in stock in 7-10 days. I’ll look at my camera tonight and get back to you on the remote connection.I would like to do a sun rise or sun set. I ran a quick test last night with my laptop and once the lap top started I could no longer change the manual exposer, so as it got dark things didn’t turn out how I wanted them. Do you have any recommendations for the best settings for a time-lapse of a sun set?
