Very interesting effect. At 10 seconds you can clearly see that they rotoscoped the hand. If it was me I would motion track the face and add the hand print. Then roto the hand so it looks like it is in front. You can draw as a mask around the hand and right-click on it and choose track mask. Or use the roto brush. -Imported the QuickTime movies into Premiere and they are not the same. I used the three-way color corrector to try to get it back to the way it was and the saturation needed to be reduced 9%. The blacks needed to be increased and the highlights needed blue added back in.Stephen Smith

You are focusing on something really important. Most people just want to jump to learning something cool like blowing something up. By really understanding pre-comping it will make you much more efficient and save you a lot of time.

The shortcut for creating keyframes on a Mac is Option (and then what you want) Such as Option-P for a position keyframe or Option-R for a rotation keyframe.
I have to say, that tutorial felt like a lot of work and not flexible. I prefer this: https://www.videocopilot.net/tutorials/graffiti_writing/

I’m not a 100% sure I understand your question. So I hope this helps.
Project File – This is your whole project. You can only have one project file open at a time.
Composition – This is where you are building your project inside your “Project File”
Pre-Composition – Think of it as nesting a composition inside a composition. This is really handy for organizing a complicated project so you have fewer layers. It is also a great way to apply something like a position keyframe or effect once since it will affect everything in the pre-comp.As for a HUD tutorial, I think you are asking for one?
