I don’t want to put it in the Support category because in my mind that category is for samples that you would put up to help better demonstrate a point in a forum on how to do something.

I do a lot of corporate type videos. I have created some really cool opens for them and only want to showcase the open. What are your thoughts on where that belongs?

Possibly an “Opens” category? That would include TV show opens and stuff? I’m not sure?

I think when you see products like cell phones rotate they are typically a 3D model. However, yes, keying out the back ground will work.

Sorry for the delayed response. I’ve been out of town.
If Option 2 works best then go with it. I personally prefer to do my time speed changes in Motion instead of FCP. I feel you have a lot more control to ease into your “slow mo” part of the clip. The Optical Flow works great but takes a long time to crunch the numbers. Hope this helps and be sure to show us some of your work…I would like to see it. Best of luck.

If you are going to have multiple clips in a “box” I would add a mask to a group and place the clip inside the group. Then you can move the clip around to where you like it…and then add another clip to play after the first one and not have to do a mask again.

I second that. I use a cut or cross dissolve 99% of the time.

You can change the blend mode to normal and then add a Luma Key filter, set key mode to “key out Darker” and it will get most of the black out.

Or you can take your project file and bring it straight into FCP, then add a Add Blend mode to your project file. Depending on what you have in your project file, the other elements will look just fine.

Don’t know but I hope for a better keyer, page peel filer like in AE, the ability to move control points Z space to make curved videos, filters for FCP go to Motion and my list keeps growing.

Yes that is correct. You can’t apply a Reverse behavior to a group but only a layer.
