    Bret,
How do you place events on a second monitor? What’s the key command?

    Hi Bill,
I completely understand that. See this screen shot below:

I am inserting audio from the event browser and into the timeline where the skimmer is. It is in between a cut. Audio is VO and I place it in the primary storyline. Whenever I insert in between 2 cuts (as seen in the screen shot), even with the skimmer placed exactly where I want the insert to be made, sometimes these little slivers or slugs appear.

I need video in the secondary. Here is a different screenshot. Both skimmer and playhead are parked over it, indicating there is indeed video there, but why can’t I see it in the timeline?

When toggling Transparency on/off it goes from grid to black. I re-imported the QuickTime back into AE and this is what I see. Same as what I saw in the Quicktime.

Now when I export this sequence do I export as an alpha channel so I don’t get the black background when throwing this into FCP?

    Hey Dave,
I’ve already tried exporting custom 480×270 and it still comes out in a 4:3 aspect ratio. Should I preserve aspect ratio using crop?

I’ve attached some screen shots of my export settings. The dimensions are compressor native- 610×343. No matter what I change the dimensions to, the QT player plays in 4:3. This is going to a client for review and eventually being exported to web where it has to be 16:9 to fit correctly in the web player.
