If you are ignoring the media, be sure to click on the lightning icon on the Project Media so that Vegas won’t try to load it the next time.

I noticed no difference, and I upgraded to Version 12 in mid-project. Can you post a sample of the problem that you are seeing?

Unlearning the wrong information is a lot more difficult than just being correct from the start.

Sometime soon I will make a tutorial or infographic that explains why an event is not a clip. And why,in practice, an event is better than a clip.

And if they ever search the manual or help files for “clip”, they won’t find their answers. With newbies it is always best to use the correct terms.

Steve, you didn’t say which end of the EVENT to grab.
I just tried it by splitting the event into three events, normal, fast, normal. I CTRL-dragged the left side of the event to the right as far as it would go, then move the first “normal” speed of the event to close the gap. The result was pretty close to the duck.

I hadn’t thought of the one audio track as a problem. When I nest it’s either a composite intro or something with no audio. Generally, you finish the nested project so that you don’t have to tweak it later.
