I install the MS Photo Codec pack on all of my workstations. Not only does it provide thumbnails for my Canon RAW images, many video formats present a thumbnail as well.

It loaded here in Vegas 12 with no errors other than missing media. I don’t have Version 9 installed anywhere so I couldn’t test that. Maybe you can find someone with Version 9 to try loading the veg.
Are you *sure* that the veg file was saved from Version 9?

Post your veg file here and let’s see if I get the same error. I should just get “media not found” errors.

So, according to Medianfo, they are the same.
Did you use the software that came with the camera to download and merge the chunks, or did you use the import feature in Vegas?

I can’t speak to that, but my experience is that almost any re-encode loses some quality

Why are you going through Cineform in the first place. Vegas will edit the MXF files directly since Version 8. Artilce by DSE

Mixing field orders could generate the Ghosting, but instead of throwing band-aids over and over, which always compromises quality, let’s get back to the original footage.

What does MediaInfo say about the bad footage?
Can you download the footage from the camera again?
In fact, what was the workflow to get the footage from the camera to Vegas?
