That is not a feature of You Tube. Unless you pay for a “Promoted Video”. There’s also a third-party that you can use to put links on a You Tube video: LinkedTube.com

I’ve never worked with DVD-9, or replication shops for that matter, but I may know the answer.
What the replicator calls a cell may be a GOP that starts with an i-frame. Vegas lets you create an MPEG file with markers at any frame.
I am pretty sure that your Layer Break also has to be at an i-frame.
Just a thought. In Vegas pro there is an option to create an iframe at the marker point when rendering to an MPEG file.

Search the forums for Xvid – you’ll find that Xvid doesn’t play well with Vegas. Those who *do* get Xvid files to work with Vegas are few, and lucky.
I’ve never dealt with an Xvid file, so I don’t know of any workarounds.

It still sounds like a codec problem. What is the source of the AVI fles? Have you run Gspot to determine what codec the avi file needs?

You did NOT load a codec pack, did you? Codec packs then to do bad things to your PC by replacing the otherwise excellent codecs that come installed with Vegas.

Reinstall Vegas. Installing Windows 7 *may* have replaced the codec that the files were made with.

Do you have any effects enabled in your PC audio drivers? My Sony laptop has the “Big Room” effect on by default – I guess it makes the one-inch speakers sound bigger? Make a DVD of the offending noises and see if it renders that way or if it’s just your PC. Also, if this is a laptop, how are you listening to the sound? Active noise-reduction headphones (ANR) will also do this as all the available power is used for the loud sounds and it takes a few milliseconds for the ANR circuitry to recover.
