A while ago i’ve read somewhere that rendering is pretty difficult and cannot be done easy on every machine. Can I not render the whole 59 minute film at once if i leave it to render for a few hours? Heard something about memory that matters.
Btw, it’s FILLED with transitions, music and alot of clips and all that.Your PC is sufficient for rendering, but a bit underpowered for editing AVCHD.
When you read about someone carping that they can’t render, computer crashed, vegas crashed, running low on memory, etc., – they are the exception. 99% of the time they have a PC problem that they can’t or won’t fix, or bad device drivers that they can’t or won’t update, or bad media that they can’t or won’t isolate. We don’t know because when they do fix their PC, they rarely come back to say what they did to fix it.
I have many projects that are about two-hours long, two to four cameras, four or more audio tracks, 15 or more video tracks (I don’t like “takes”), titles, some effects and hundreds of dissolves. No problem for my Quad-core HP computer.

“Capture” only works with Firewire connections. Your 8mm video camera was likely built before Firewire was invented. Come to think of it, how are you connecting the camera to the PC? If via USB, then use the software that came with the camera.
I’ve never used the Pinnacle Dazzle, preferring the AVCHD-300, but I am not surprised that it won’t work with Windows 7 since the product is owned by Avid, and Avid has pretty much abandoned Pinnacle product support. The Dazzle was made way before Windows 7 and when Avid bought Pinnacle, a lot of Pinnacle engineers left the company.
See if there is a Windows Vista driver. Most Vista drivers will work with Windows 7. Failing that, look for an AVCHD-100 or AVCHD-300 on eBay. (Note to me: test the ACHD on Win 7).

I’ve never noticed that before, but I just tested it and see the same effect. (Note that serifed fonts – the ones with the pointy things – are pretty bad for video.)

But, if carried to the extreme – that their customers *do* migrate to their content – the ISP’s wouldn’t hesitate one moment to upgrade their distribution. As long as they exempt their content from data caps, the implication is that it’s only about the money.

If the caps were all about service, then why is your statement above true? If they cared so much for their customers, then why don’t they improve their service to handle the after-school load?

You’re using OpenDNS for your DNS resolution. This is the page you get when OpenDNS can’t resolve the URL.
Did you type it, click on a link or what? I get this whenever I don’t click on a complete link because my browser split the long URL into shorter lines. Or when I just misspell the URL.

PluralEyes only works at the track level. If you need events from a track synced, then move those events to their own tracks and select those tracks before running PluralEyes.
If you can’t find the information in the help files, remember that all media on the timeline are events – not clips.
