The LCD screen on the camera is the absolute worst way to make exposure and color judgements. It’s there only for composing your frame. Unless it is calibrated, the LCD on your computer is no better. In fact, I would be surprised if they ever look the same in levels and color.

I use it every day. no problems at all. I currently have three projects in the edit que, all multi-camera, and eventually all will have 10- to 15 tracks.

Two things come to mind.
First, AVCHD requires bone-crushing brute processor power. Like a hex-core i7. Anything less is likely to have choppy timeline playback.
Second, Version 8 never really handled AVCHD very well. Version 10 has focused on improvements to the AVCHD experience.

I am pretty certain that the Blu-Ray spec only goes up to 192Kbps. Most Hollywood titles only use 24-bit/48Kbps.

Go to the Boris website and look at their list of recommended video boards. Personally, I avoid Radeon because of past driver problems. But, that’s just my opinion.

While your at it, install as much RAM as your motherboard can hold. BCC likes lots of RAM.

MTS ia AVCHD and AVCHD requires brute-force processing power to edit. What processor and how much RAM do you have? If you have enough RAM you can use RAM preview to see your transitions.

The DVD menu in the sample is made just like I do – in Photoshop. All that they are doing in the example is to hide the buttons with the button masks.

I am in the middle of a couple of projects, but when I get some time, I intend to make this happen with DVDA.

I like the challenge.

You are comparing apples and oranges. Put the same encoded file on a DVD and on a Blu Ray disc, you won’t see the difference.
