In my Blu-ray project I have audio files with bit rates higher than DVDA’s AC-3 default of 192Kbps. What bit rate would you recommend, or have chosen to use in your projects?

    Thanks in advance.

I am pretty certain that the Blu-Ray spec only goes up to 192Kbps. Most Hollywood titles only use 24-bit/48Kbps.

If you create your AC3 files in Vegas Pro you can go above 192Kbps but I’ve never tried that. I don’t have any issues with 192Kbps. Bit rate alone is not the whole story. The encoding has a lot to do with how good something sounds at a particular bit rate.
