What type and what template did you use? (BTW, you don’t “render” MPEG or M2TS, these are encoded formats notwithstanding that Sony put the encoding formats in the “Render As” menus).

Close DVDA, re-encode the mpeg file in Vegas with the same name. Open DVDA and you should see what you want.

No clue on the noise. I have a pair of GeForce gtx 520’s driving four screens and they are quiet enough. If you record in the vicinity of the PC, maybe you can shut it down during recording, or move the PC to a closet and run long cables to the peripherals.

You may not be able to use the on-board graphics. Intel is not too responsive to updating their driver software. They really only make motherboards as evaluation hardware to sell chips, so if they play “Doom 9” they consider their job finished.
Get an nVidia Geforce card with CUDA cores – it should cost less than $100 – and install it with the latest beta drivers from nVidia. Make sure you disable the on-board graphics chip and delete the driver software from Intel.

Only if you are actually using Ram Preview (CTRL-B) to look at a selection.
Two things I would do, to start, is to isolate the section of the timeline where this occurs (if it occurs at the same place in the timeline). the second would be to make sure I have the latest driver software for my video card. If you’re using an nVidia card, look for their latest beta driver.

Re-encoding almost always compromises quality, but audio quality suffers the least from re-encoding. I doubt that most listeners could tell the difference.

I don’t like “rerender” either because most people use “rerender” incorrectly. You aren’t rendering anything, you are encoding it, notwithstanding that Sony puts the encode formats in the “Render As” menu.

You should never let DVDA re-encode anything, but the audio is the least problem with re-encoding losses.
Do you see the AC3 Pro option on your “render as” menu?

Same here – I haven’t needed to use the NB titler in Vegas 11, but it’s worked fine in my short tests.
