I copy all my DVDs from DJ into iso files using imgburn. Then I use Virtual Clonedrive (from Elaborate Bytes) to mount them as needed by juicer. All the iso files are kept on an external HDD. When I need another disc, I right click on the one that’s currently mounted, select “Eject”, then double-click on the iso file I want mounted. As far as Juicer is concerned, I have the DVD in a drive.

I thought you were recording from the beginning.
Are you listening to the existing audio that you are replacing while you record? just start recording early and trim the start and end of your new audio event to match the original audio length.To the best of my knowledge, the arm for record doesn’t use any more RAM as you record the WAV files. There’s probably a delay because Windows has to create the output file and start writing data to it. So start recording earlier. Use a new audio track so that you don’t have to think in takes.

1) I am pretty sure that if you delete the wav files and remove them from the project Media window, then Vegas will ask again for a target location.
2) Add a ten-second blank event at the start of the project.

The encoding template for DVDA does not include the audio.

The encoding function found in most authoring programs is not very good and was an afterthought. It only exists for lazy newbies.Never let an authoring package encode your video. It is an authoring application, not an encoder. While many authoring programs have the ability to encode your video for you, it is often not good quality and gives you no control over the size, resolution, bit-rates and important factors that determine the quality of the disc. Bad authoring encoders include DVDit!, DVD Workshop, NeoDVD, MyDVD, and several other Ulead products, just to name a few.”

Youtube re-encodes everything anyway, so I upload the highest quality file that I can.
I also saw no skips, but that is entirely dependent on the speed of your internet pipe. (Mine is 36Mbps).

This is the wrong way. You never want DVDA to re-encode your video. Ever. When you re-encode already encoded video, your quality will take a hit.
Use the DVDA templates in the Vegas “Render As” menu to create three files. AC3 for the audio, MPG for the DVD and M4V (I think it’s M4V, it’s been a while) for the blu-ray. Those are the files that you want to bring into DVDA for making the discs.
Build your menus in DVDA, import the MPG file, burn the DVD then do a “save as” to save the DVDA project. Then change your project properties from a DVD-5 to a BD disc. Replace the MPG media with the M4V file and burn your BD disc. Save that project as “projectname-BD”
