It’s rendering which is the biggie for me. The biggest slowdown I have in my online edits are having to wait for ‘pan and zoom’ rostrum shots to render.

Yes, very. Is there a limit on file size. Most of my stills are around 2MB.

Thanks for that James. I have downloaded the latest version and I’ve now got a green dot but still plays incredibly slowly – no faster than before.

It’s definitely a blue dot on my system but I thought I was running the latest version. I have Avid MC/Symphony 7.

It’s the same if I check the ‘Preview Mode’ checkbox if that’s what you mean. It plays at less than one tenth realtime. The only way I can get a preview is to render it out.

Well, I don’t plan on doing anything above 1080 but I do plan on getting Resolve 10. What’s the extra RAM required for with version 10? Really don’t want to lose the boot screen.

Just saw this thread.
Would you only expect to see the main benefits of this Mac-dedicated 680 in Resolve on a recent Mac Pro or would an 8 core 2008 MP see any benefit.
I’d hate to be lumbered with an expensive card that would be no use to me particularly when there are no Mac Pros on the horizon that could reasonably make use of a PCI card.
