    Hello,

I am a big fan of BCC pan and zoom but the only problem that I have with it is that I cannot seem to find a suitable way of previewing my moves before committing to render them. It seems that to have any idea of how they will look I have to carry out a full length render which obviously takes a long time when you need to do a lot of tweaking.

Any ideas on a better way of doing things would be appreciated.

    Hi Stephen-
What version of BCC are you using in Avid?

    Version 8 James.

What happens if you were to change the preview mode to preview in frame?

It’s the same if I check the ‘Preview Mode’ checkbox if that’s what you mean. It plays at less than one tenth realtime. The only way I can get a preview is to render it out.

    Stephen-
Forgot to ask, what exact version of 8 are you running? Pan and Zoom didn’t become green dotted until the later releases.

    Version: 8.10.823

It’s definitely a blue dot on my system but I thought I was running the latest version. I have Avid MC/Symphony 7.

    Thanks

Take a look at our updates page. The latest version is 8.2 which will make Pan & Zoom a Green Dot effect.

Thanks for that James. I have downloaded the latest version and I’ve now got a green dot but still plays incredibly slowly – no faster than before.
