I did the test as per your instructions and I don’t see any difference…
Both framerates look perfect on the 30fps timeline as far as I can tell. What exactly are you doing? What codec are you using? What kind of graphic?

I don’t really see what the easy setup (in FCP I assume) has anything to do with it. All the settings for the Multibridge are handled in the Multibridge control panel. So you have to check that all the settings are correct there first.In the computers system settings you should find the Multibridge controlpanel where you need to select the correct analog inputs. (I may be slightly wrong here as I’m not infront of my editing station.)
After that in FCP select the correct capture preset (Blackmagic 8-bit or whatever you use).

Does this mean that you are able to input composite video with audio? I mean have you tried it just to see if that works?Stephan

Are you sure that you have selected the analog audio inputs in the Multibridge controlpanel application? If I’m not misstaken all audio (and video) is always routed to all the outputs (analog as well as digital). But when it comes to input you have to specifically select which input the audio should come from and I guess it defaults to embedded SDI.
What video input are you using?

Have you tried using media manager in FCP to recompress your footage? Set media manager to recompress your media to the format you want ( I guess DVCProHD). Media manager will then create a new project with all your (selected) sequences and clips at the new resolution and format. And timecode should be retained as well…But make a small test transfer first to make sure.

Use Log and Transfer… which you can find a bit further down in the file menu.

Use the up and down arrowkeys.

Apply the Image Mask filter to your clip and drag the alpha channel clip to the mask imagewell in the filter controls.

Use the Eight point garbage matte filter (under video filters/mattes) to create a more complex crop. If that precison isn’t enough you’ll need to use After Effects or something similar to rotoscope/key one of your characters.

Are you usig normal Crossfade ‘dissolves’ or keyframing the gain curves?
If you are using Crossfades ctr-click/right-click on your fades and change from Crossfade (+ 3dB) to Crossfade (0dB). This sometimes does the trick for me. If it doesn’t help then remove the crossfade, enable keyframe overlays in the timeline settings and try keyframing the gain curve…
