The Adobe Media Encoder supports this. If you choose WindowsMedia or MPEG2 as output formats in the output-module the AME will pop up and you can select ftp transmisson.
Does someone know if this is possible with Quick Time mov’s? I’m sure it’s possible thru scripts but I don’t have a clue.

I have a 3gHz PC which stutters while playing a h264 video in 720p at 5Mbit/s. The good thing is you can go for really low bitrates with this codec.
The best playback performance has DivX in my opinion. The compression is damn good too. But as far as I know you will need separete files for PC and MAC.

Yep, you have 30 days acces to all standard functions(not pro). Mind that the bundled plugins like CC and Keylight and not bundled with the demo.

Even with an ai or psd file text is just pixel information and cannot be interpreted as text as far as i know. A workaround would be seperate layers with masks. If you would have the phrase ABC as eps you could duplicate it two times mask out the A and C for the B layer, mask out A and B for the C layer and parent B and C with A layer. This way you can move ABC with the property of the A layer and animate the B and C layer seperated.

If you want to deliver really lossless video you should try the microcosm codec from digitalanarchy.com. But even with this handy codec you will end up with hundreads of megabytes since its completly lossless.
For computer animation or videogame footgae I never found a more effective lossy codec than Motion JPEG or Photo JPEG. Try them at around 80-95% quality. They will work great in any editing application.
The Sorenson codec is great for playback but rather good for editing because it works a lot with b and i-frames. This means it doesnt contains all image information in every frame. It just includes update information for every followed frame depending on the motion of the video.SD in 16:9 would only change the pixel ratio and therefore there would be no additional image information added to the footage. For HD the images have to be at least 1280 pixels wide and 720 pixels high. The highest HD res is 1920×1080. The framerate in HD is different though. There are a lot of different formats with different framerates but I’d say you wouldn’t do that much wrong with 1280×720 at 30 frames per second(progressive).

Easiest way to work with the cylinder or sphere effects is to pre-compose your “texture” or cylinder-layer. This way you can modify and edit it very easy in future steps.

I’d say it’s a framerate issue but i’ve just tested it with a volume meter i made a while ago. I can nest it to any framerate – still synced.

PS: You may get some error mesages because the expressions are written within a german version of ae. Some layer or effectnames are may be different in your language.
