– multiple COLOR KEYer
– MATT CHOCKER (shrink)
– MATT CHOCKER (expand)Don´t ´let the Noise (there will be a lot!!!)
distract you. You will get rid of the nois
if you use THIS as a Matte!I hope this helps!
Here is the AEP (german… sorry, you´ll need to relink/rename the FX´n´Stuff…)

January 1, 2013 at 3:27 pm in reply to: Rotoscoping moving image with poor background separationHey,
how about Difference Matte-FX ?
https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/2/923637This makes only sence if you have a empty shot of the background!!
(Maybe you can photoshop something…)The shadows could be tricky, and maybe you need to combine some Key-Roto-Maks technics.

I would try to make a mask on my caracters and the needed surrounding.
–> sinde of the head/face, on the edges of objects that are visible, walls… what have you…
and then take the mask, feader it realy hard (if needet!) and use it to make the “police light comp” (this one you need to make also) visible.but if you can –> MAKE IT ON SET!
Take 2 flashlights and red´n´blue gel, use the “best boy”, your little brother, A DOG… and let them wiggle the light arround!
eaven if you need to buy the flashlights… it should not get over 15bugs! -
maybe you can use WAV ?
(i hade problems with AAF too, then i chose WAV, all good now) -
Is it only one clip or multiple cuts?
Without any image, i would first think that this is a job you need to do with maks and more or less frame by frame. Can you post a image?

Hi,
the first thing on my mind was: Use FT-Toolbar from aescripts.com and make this command part of the toolbar.
(there are video-tutorials of the toolbar.. check them out!)(the toolbar is not for free, you need to buy a licens, but you can try it out for free, i bet you will buy it!)

In the editing you cut the composed clips 😉
Edeting Programs are faster but limited in the things you can do with a clip.
Composing Programs are able to deal with huderts of layers, or give you mutch more control over the clips or let you do stuff to a clip, that you would never get done in a editing program.😉

Hide the front of the gun behind a HUGE muzzleflash!
(if that is allowed and fits)
Get some good sound FX of a Gatling (Getling… how ever)!
Sound will help you sell the FX.Maybe you can fool the audience by using a 3 or 4 frame loop, with different barres posission behind a blur and a muzzleFlash.
I hope this helps!
