Scale Layer to fit composition using Script
Hello, i was looking for a script that could scale a layer to fit exactly the Compositon like a batch process. didn’t find any that work like this so far, any one here knows?

Hi,
the first thing on my mind was: Use FT-Toolbar from aescripts.com and make this command part of the toolbar.
(there are video-tutorials of the toolbar.. check them out!)(the toolbar is not for free, you need to buy a licens, but you can try it out for free, i bet you will buy it!)

This may not be the answer you’re looking for but you can use the Layer > Transform > Fit To Comp menu option to fit a layer (or several layers) exactly to the size of the composition. The shortcut is cmd-opt-f on mac and ctrl-alt-f on windows.
If you need to do this to specific layers in different compositions then I’m not sure if a script will be able to help you there.
