DVD or BD?
Button max issue?
For DVD, maximum of 36 buttons per 4:3 menu, and 18 buttons per 16:9 menu according to the DVD spec.
In Encore, I believe, 32 buttons per menu.

You right click the asset, not the timeline, to set transcode settings. The N/A is what you see on menus, timelines, etc. If you don’t see your assets, are they in a folder or otherwise out of view?

August 22, 2012 at 8:17 pm in reply to: No buttons in Encore and/or video file on menu itselfHave you tried linking the button to the timeline you want it to link to?
I think you may find that when you dragged the video to the button, EN created a timeline by that name, and linked the button to that timeline. Your video shows in the button thumbnail because EN, having created the timeline, is using the timeline for the thumbnail. Its alpha is black, because EN can’t put transparency in the background of a timeline.
Link the button as you intend, and I think you will find that your video is replaced by your target timeline in the thumbnail.

August 22, 2012 at 3:58 pm in reply to: No buttons in Encore and/or video file on menu itselfIt is a double extraction (zip and 7z), and you must still put it in the correct directory or repoint Encore. If you follow the directions exactly, you will see them.

August 22, 2012 at 2:37 pm in reply to: No buttons in Encore and/or video file on menu itselfThe video has to be part of the motion background. You can use thumbnails, but then they have to be pulled out of the timeline they are linked.
The latest on the buttons for CS6 is here:

There are other links that relate to downloading the functional content, but they install only templates.

The “loop” point is the point at which your highlights appear. If you have button elements in your Premiere motion background, you should edit the movie so they don’t appear until you want them to.

I think the answer is no. What you want is controlled by the BD player or the TV.
You can put it on disk each way and use a menu to pick which one the viewer will see.
