I’ve rendered it fully. Even when it prints to video it’s doing it. I’m going to try what the first person posted.

He may have hilighted the clips in his browser and made subclips of them. Or he may have made subclips from the sequence. Do the clips have a little wierd broken icon that represents them?

I’ve learned a lot since I laste posted so forgive me.

Sorry I didn’t provide more detail. I’m new I’ll get the hang of it. I’m using DVD Studio Pro 4. I have compressor 2.0.1. I’ve never really used compressor for encoding my dvd projects. I always thought I would loose my chapter markers. I export the video from Final Cut Pro with my chapter markers. I’ve never used the compression markers I really don’t know what they do. The reason I’m burning to my external is because 1. my internal extreamly slow and 2. I want to create a DL dvd and my internal is not a duel layer burner. I was compressing my 5.6 gig project with Roxio Popcorn to fit to a 4.7 with pretty nasty looking results in my opinion. I’ve since since learned that popcorn will burn to a Duel Layer DVD. I was pretty happy to see that. When you say “disc Image” do you mean the TS folder?

In DSP’s encoding preferences: What does the one pass and two pass vbr really mean? I’m guessing Two is better than One? Also what is the deal with the bit rate and max bit rate?

I hope this is enoght information. I really appreceate this help. I’m learning more everyday.

  • THANK YOU!!!!! I was about to go and shoot myself. I’ve talked to everyone and nobody said anything about holding down buttons! I didn’t see it in the manual either.. You would figure it would be in BOLD LETTERS for the world to see. How about a big fat sticker on the P2 Store itself.

thanks you thank you thank you… now I can see my footage.

Now if I could only record 1 hour of footage on a single p2 card at 1080i. Then we would live in a perfect world.

I just joined this forum and It’s already payed off!! I did a search for P2 Store and this was the first thing that came up.

I’m using a mac and the P2 store is not recognized. Now that I’ve read this thread I think it’s the cable. I didn’t know there was a difference usb cables. I asked someone I thought was an expert and he told me there was no difference.

But what throws me off is that when I insert a P2 card into the P2 Store it is recognized and I can import from it into FCP.

Thanks for the help I’mgoing to get a new cable and see what happens.
