Oh jeez, I”m dyin’ here… I haven’t wanted to get my hands on a piece of software so bad since… well, I can’t even come up with a good analogy… let’s just say my check book has just developed a serious rash…

Mylennium, thanks for the idea. I’m playing with a few of the suggestions right now, and we’ll see how it turns out. Like Julian mentioned, if you’re feeling adventurous and wouldn’t mind throwing something together, I’d love to see your take on this. If not, that’s okay too. 3DKiwi over at the Cafe got me started on another route in C4D, so I’m trying a few different things right now, and attempting to wrap my head around all this. Thanks everyone else for the suggestions as well.

Jeez, I’d love to do that. Not only would it make the shot “spot on”, but I think it’d be fun to do. Alas, time and equipment restraints prohibit that approach. I do, however, sincerely appreciate the idea. To answer the other poster, I’m asking in the AE forum because if there’s a way to do it in AE, I’ll do it in AE. At this point, I’m not overly picky.
Also, just to clarify, it’s okay if it’s still ‘animated’ or ‘stylized’ looking, it just needs a little more of a “kick” than my meager skills have come up with so far.

Aharon, I sincerely hope you’re making a hell of a lot of money doing whatever it is you do, because there had better be something real keeping you from doing tutorials full time. You’re definitely my favorite “how-to” guy, and I have to say I get a rather strange and inappropriate (but COMPLETELY hetero) tickle in my nethers every time I log on and see a new tutorial from you. Keep ’em coming, man.

The newest version of Matchmover can export C4D native files, and it works great. HTH

LOL try Maya sometime… you’ll be cryin’ to have your copy of Cinema4D back! I too am just starting out, (last couple of months), but I’ve never had so much fun creating stuff just for the sake of doing it! Stick with it, you WON’T regret it. Good luck!

Before you get lynched, I might as well be the one to say it. Try searching the forums, this one gets asked about once a week. Most often, the consensus seems to be that a 3D app, (i.e. Cinema4d) is your best bet. There’s also a tut here on the Cow somewhere that may be a good place to start.

Actually, I believe Illustrator does. At least it did with
