I actually picked up the trial for NeoScene like you suggested and that compression works out the choppy-ness of my uncompressed renders.

Now, I have one qualm with it. I’ve noticed that when I render it out of Sony Vegas with NeoScene in HDV, the movement in the picture isnt as smooth as the original.

Any suggestions or fixes for this? Any tweaks to the NeoScene compression I can do? I’m trying differant ways, but I feel its something I may not be thinking of.

Thank you for any help, from anybody.

I actually use the Asus G72. I edit, record music, use after effects, play Age Of Conan, and love this computer. I even bought two of them actually. I dont know much about the G73, but if its similar to the G72 then its a very good buy, though I know the version I have is the highly sought version.

I will say that when I render HD in Sony Vegas it can get choppy uncompressed, but I think that might just be me not knowing how to do that right, I have to use a codec or compression on the renders to come out smooth. But, any kind of render doesnt even take half the RAM power of the laptop.

    Awesome for the money.

Thank you for responding John 🙂

I did in fact try to use a preset HDV preset and after rendering the 45 second shot, which takes a few minutes to do, it comes out choppy…

I’m not sure why it does, but if I compress it to a lower rez template it comes out fine, just granier and I don’t want to apply my effects to degraded footage.

I will look into the product you mentioned, but is there any advice or insight as to why when I render out to HDV it becomes choppy?
