You should find the info about your particular G5 there. If you find that your system is, in fact, a PCI-X version, then avoid the ATI Radeon X1900 and go for the ATI Radeon X800 XT.

Before purchasing the X1900, make sure your G5 has a PCI Express slot and NOT a PCI-X slot. I almost made that mistake. -

First of all, I must admit to NOT being an expert whatsoever. Having said that, here are my thoughts/observations.
I stepped through the jittery clip, frame by frame, and what I’m seeing is that every frame is repeated (i.e. 50% speed change with no frame blending). You might want to try to open a copy of that particular clip in Cinema Tools and conform it to 23.98 to see what it looks like then.

Are you looking at the rendered image on a client monitor or on the computer screen?

The stuff was digitized from HD Cam through a Blackmagic Decklink into the Photo Jpeg codec.
