Hi Jeremy,

As someone who uses it every day, I’m going to have to agree with Oliver and disagree with you.

I’m sorry to hear you’ve had a bad experience – I guess it happens to all of us at some time with one piece of software or another. But for me and my colleagues the Premiere experience has mostly been about daily surprise at how much it can do that suits the way we like to work.

Collectively, I don’t think we’ve had any crashes in the last six months of working with it. (Now that’s tempting fate!)

I’d stick my neck out here and suggest that your problems don’t sound normal – hardware issues, software conflicts?

You can also put groups into the Clone so that might be a way of keeping your tracking?

To be fair, I didn’t discover this method myself – I have to thank my incredibly talented development partner Rob Mackintosh. But I like to pretend I came up with it 😉

Sorry, Bill, I didn’t mean to sound dismissive. Of course, it’s a pain that Apple messed you up and I’m sorry to hear that your time was wasted.

I meant that big changes to the OS have costs for anyone developing for the Mac and these are largely opportunity costs – while you are accommodating the changes, you are not developing new features, improving old ones, or fixing bugs.
