Wow!!!!! What a fabulous collection of images – thanks so much for sharing.
There’s nothing quite like doing it in camera though, is there?
The things that make it work are high angle of view, depth of compostion with multiple planes and composition of the subject in the lower third of the frame.
Oh yes, and a truly great photographer behind the lens – and a truly expensive piece of glass for him/her to be behind in the first place!

Yup, I’m very much a “do it by the numbers” guy and have never been a big fan of onscreen controls but I know they can be handy and it certainly makes things quicker here in some respects.
Just to add that you can click and drag over the numbers in the control panel as well as nudging with the up and down arrows so you’re not stuck with just entering numbers if you want something a bit more interactive – but then I’m sure you know this already.

It’s quite a fun effect to try and reproduce. Here’s a slightly better example of it in use:
This is the kind of angle that it is meant to work best from – hopefully the shed looks like a “miniature” which is the overall aim of the effect.

Does anybody know if there ought to be “chromatic aberration” in this kind of effect?
I’ve included a saturation boost control which supposedly makes it look more “toy-like” (if you want that kind of thing) but I’m thinking of a slight lens edge effect – does that sound right?

It’s getting hard to keep track of who wants what! Hadn’t realised you’d seen the OSC version.
Anyway here it is with all bells and whistles including onscreen control of the position – I’ve defaulted both the Border and the Drop Shadow to off on this version.

Here it is just for you with an edge feather control. I’ve also included a checkbox for the border which defaults to Off as you won’t want a border with this effect normally – or will you?!

Well, since you ask so nicely – I’ll be happy to add it in, good idea. Do you want the option to feather X and Y separately?
Incidentally if you’re looking for a more interesting edge to your frames, please do take a look at my Grunge Opacity Mask Effect (below) which is great for making more organic looking edges and many other uses.
