I agree with Aaron. This last pic with the oval mask, sorry to say, but the attention is taken away from the face (half masked out)and is somehow directed to the crotch (exactly middled). Im sure this is not what you want. Also, a couple of the fast cuts from the projector dont mesh with the music tempo.
    But nice look…

Trapcode “Soundkeys” is also very helpful for this kind of thing

Exactly. Render out with Qtime, lower first, animation codec, best quality. Import 1:1, lower first. I do it all the time, no problems

Ive sorted this out already. Its a bug in the avid that wont let you import anything from a source folder with an un-english character in the folder name (an umlaut for example). Beware european avid editors!

I get that sometimes too. I think its just a bug. Restart your computer and render again. That always works for me.

I also work in PAL broadcasting in germany, and the simplist way to be safe is anything you make in AE, put an adjustment layer on top with a levels effect set to 16-235 (black and white) and the gamma on 1.0. Like it was said above, the important thing is that your IRE doesnt go above 100. I check everything that goes out of my avid on a scope, and never have had a problem. And the people in the control room are quick to point out anything wrong, believe you me.

HI, thanks for the reply. Encore 1.5, and they are self contained QTs. I tried again with uncompressed AVIs, and it worked first time, so I’ll stick to them from now on.

May 9, 2006 at 3:12 pm in reply to: Normal 4:3 to Anamorphic

    Hmmm…
What I mean is basically making 4:3 to 16:9 (DVPAL 1:1.066 into DVPAL 1:1.42) thus making an anamorphic 4:3 picture.
does that make sense? sorry not to be so clear, first time I’ve had to attempt this. As well, the ads in the cinema are never the same size as the feature. Not here (Germany) anyway…
hope this helps, and hope you can help me too.
    thanks for the reply
