    Hi everyone,

I am experiencing white flashes every now and again in After Effects. I’m 90%
sure that this only appears to happen with quicktime files encoded with the Apple
animation codec. I’ve always used the quicktime animation codec without any issues.
I figured that Apple just rebranded the codec with their name. Does anyone know if
this codec has been revised at all? By the way these flashes only happen within AE.
Does AE have any issues with quicktime 7 at all? Please if anybody can shed some light
on this that would be great. I use PC as well.

I get that sometimes too. I think its just a bug. Restart your computer and render again. That always works for me.

Thankyou for your response. I restarted and I still get the same problem. I just opened an different project and scrubbed thru it – no problems at all. I had this a while back. Come to think of it, I was dealing with HD footage, as is the case with this one. Maybe I need 2 reinstall AE or perhaps AE has issues with high def. I am at a loss. Thank you anyway for
    replying.
