Personally if I were you and you are not going to be doing highend video or graphics I would go with an iMac G5 non intel or something like that, because they are pretty good, they will fill your basic needs without being to expensive, and you can then upgrade later if need be.

Sure, easiest way don’t allow them to access Safari or mail, and don’t let them access system preferences, and make sure there are no utilites or menu bar items for internet access avalible use the limitations tab in the account settings to limit the access.

Now I am not sure what you plan to do with this new computer, but when considering whether to wait for intel or not, what you must consider is that at the moment most apps for mac is PowerPC only so they would run through Rosetta. This is fine if you don’t do any sort of graphics or video, or need to run obscure 3rd party mac apps. In terms of which is better, well g5 Quad Core PowerPC or any g5 is pretty good. Intel will take over the mac market eventually, but thats a long ways off, you should be safe doing either. Its more right now what do you need to do with the computer and how urgently do you need the computer.

I think the graphics card is the problem if I am not mistaken assuming the system and software specs are met, you will need to get a better graphics card. I could be wrong though…

Get rid of the partions completly install tiger then install classic support, you should be fine then. The partion thing isn’t necessary in Tiger infact thats most likely causing you all your problems.

What are your current settings on the hair or any other settings you have on for shave and haircut?

Do the models have phong tags on them? If not try that, and hyper nurbs.

How is the cloth simulation setup? Did you cache the simulation? If so empty the cached solution. I would also try after you edit the points on the banner hit the set initial state button and your point edits should be retained.
