You may be used to vector art always looking crisp in illustrator, but AE works with raster images which are made up of pixels. It converts vector images to raster images to make this work. What you’re decribing might be occurring because you’ve scaled the image up or zoomed into it with a 3d camera. Try hitting the continuously rasterize switch for the layer in the timeline panel (it looks kind of like a sun). If you can’t see the switches, hit F4.

I’m also not sure what’s going wrong, but you say you tried to scale the layers and they scaled at “different rates?” Try parenting all the layers to a null object and then scaling the null instead. You can delete the null once you’re done. I actually have a tutorial on this at my youtube channel, it’s the most recent one. Link below.

Not sure about any tutorials, but you should be able to achieve what you want by checking the graph switch for the camera’s position property in the timeline panel, then hitting the main graph button at the top of the same panel. Click on one of the keyframes in the graph that appears and drag the handles (the lines that stick out of it) so that the curve eases in over time.
You could also do this automatically by unchecking the graph view, selecting the first keyframe and hitting F9 to make it easy-ease.

This may not be the issue, but it’s possible that AE is having problems with your audio because it’s compressed. Try bringing in the audio separately, preferably in an uncompressed format, and lining it up with your footage layer in the comp panel.
I would suggest that you only use audio files in AE to figure out timing, though. Using a dedicated audio programme, if you have one, is a better method of tying audio to video than in AE.

The solid is locked, or maybe deselected? Or, if the reactangular mask tool is selected, maybe the mask is being created, you just can’t see it because it is lined up with the edges?

So what you want to happen is, when you highlight the button it gets replaced by another ‘button’ graphic rather than a typical highlighting effect?
In this case, you don’t want to specify your new graphic as a subpicture (which I think is what you’re doing) but rather make a duplicate menu with the new graphic in it and make the button self-activate. That way it will look like the button is changing, when in fact you are sending the viewer to a new menu.
It’s a bit of a pain to have multiple similar menus, but I believe this is the only way to do it in Encore.
