    Seems to be random.

    check names.. no dashes etc..

failed on a diff clip this time.

I have media managed down to used clips+handles.

Opened that project.. set to re-compress to dvcprohd 720 60

retry seems to fix and it carries on :-/

Christian , I captured live from a games console.. no reel number applied.. due to not being on tape.. nor being able to recapture.. being live an all that.

So am I shot? Or can I just give my captures Reel Numbers?

    Should I label day 1’s captures all 1 ? and day 2, 2? Or each on seperate.. as in 1 2 3 etc.. ?

    Cheers..

Not tried this yet, only got system up and running recently, though after a hunt about I think the issue is looking to be solved with 6.2 drivers. Due 2 weeks post NAB.

I’ve only seen replies from BM team asking what setup is etc… no firm answers.

A ” we know there is an issue” would be good so we are not tearing our hair out.

We got a component to hdmi to do like this.. from a live feed and a digi deck.. no go. The converter was HDCP complient and the intensity didn’t like it.

Hope there is a firmware fix coming.

    Hey T.

To apply the pre-sets your footage needs to be quite flat. If you have dark shots the pre-sets will make them worse as they will add contrast etc.

can you post a still large.. from orig footage and one from the clip you think looks bad?

    try setting everything flat.

set a tint color, sepia. then take it from there.. if its dark already you may not want to darken anymore.. rather boost the mids.

Yeah I see what you mean.

I need to deliver all the edited. though the edits are not specific to what I actually need to deliver more additional bonus stuff I’m giving the client are the full edits to music.

What I need to do is trim say 4 20 min clips down to just highlights and export each highlight with a seperate names

    ie

20 min capture clips is called ontrack_germany.mov

    i want to provide >

    ontrack_germany_corner_Shot1.mov
    ontrack_germany_corner_Shot2.mov
    ontrack_germany_corner_Shot3.mov

The above are exracts from a single capture..

In reality there will be about 60 highlights from each capture.. all needed as seperate clips.
Trim the fat so to speak.

So I need to deliver many clips at H.264 not an edited seq, I take it I’d just export> for that.

    Also I don’t understand why I can’t drop frame and create a 30fps proj from a 60fps proj :-/

Just trying to work out a workflow as I’ll be doing alot of this.

    Cheers for quick reply.

  • Thanks guys.

    Blackmagic 720P 59.94 1280×720 8bit uncompressed.

Edit then sent to compressor to send a h.264 to client in states so need to correct the QT. Will have a play.

Will 1080P (i) be the same?

QT export as 1280×720 with selecting HD seems to export a diff size than it says :-/

2 settings appear for all in QT pro export.. 16:9 or HD .. very confusing which to use.

Genraly set custom and 1280×720 to make sure.

Thanks for prompt reply.. much appreciated.
