Thanks. That helps alot. I’ll tell him that we will have to wait until we can upgrade. Thank you.

  • We are using Sony Vegas Movie Studio. We hope to have Vegas Pro 8 by the fall.

We went into DVD architect, we couldn’t find the settings that you were telling us about. So we clicked on make dvd. Then clicked on prepare, then optimize. We were able to change the settings on Video 1 from 8,000 Mbps bitrate to 9.800 Mbps bitrate. We took it off progressive since its for DVD and not web. That seemed to help a bit.

Lighting, well there are issues with lighting in our church. We are still trying to work all of that out. I’ve uploaded our very first video podcast. I don’t remember if we are able to post links in this forum or not, so if you’d like to get a better view of our lighting, just go to our church’s website. It’s Lafayette Church of God. It’s the very first one that pops up in google. Then go to podcasting, the video one is called No Regrets. This is our very first project like this. I’d love to get some professional feedback as we live way out in the middle of nowhere and there’s no one to ask for advice out here.

    Thanks

  • We are using 2 Canon HV30 camcorders. Our services are usually 50-60 minutes long for DVDs, but I break them down into 24 minutes for tv. I’m not sure if our Pastor is talking with a cable company or a tv station. But I know that it is not public access. I have emailed him and asked him to give them a call and find out what format they need it in. Once I hear back from him I’ll repost.

Also, the background seems like it is slightly moves. I’m not sure how to describe it. I can’t seem to get the DVD smooth and clean like I see it on tape. Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to change some settings on my camera or in Vegas to clean this up?
