Clearly I didn’t know how images work here:

Yes, they’re in the preview window, best, full & pre-rendering don’t help. Project properties quality didn’t help either 🙁 Rendering and preview look identical.

Trying to attach a pix, as you can see it looks like horrid interlacing, but the input doesn’t say it’s interlaced, it plays fine elsewhere, and stepping frame-by-frame in 13 looks fine, except for the trial watermark and the artifacts because the input’s so low rez.

Clearly upgrading might help, but that’s $ that could go to something else at the school.

Well, this is more of a hobby/helping school thing than a paid gig, and it’s a bit expensive for that 🙂

Hmm, so since I put the version in the post that made me wonder about Vegas 13, which I happened to be trying…. It works fine there, same project. So maybe there’s some sort of setting I can tweak to make it happy?

I have a similar issue Vegas 13 – It’s scaling, but it’s scaling WAY TOO MUCH – Icons and menus are OK, but the text is ginormous. And the window sizes are too small for the scaled text.

    Win10 running a 4K monitor @ 125% scaling.

  • Did it work before upgrading to Windows 10? (Eg 7 or 8.1)?

  • It wasn’t much of a crash, it wouldn’t even really start. Maybe I should DL the trial.

  • I think it’s the content in the container (or the combination). According to the previous reply, likely the AAC. I haven’t had a chance to find a way to transcode to a different container.

  • Vegas can’t use stuff newer than that? Or Vegas 11 can’t use cards newer than that? Upgrading to 13 would be bad if it couldn’t use newer cards.

  • Hmm, cool I guess. I guess it may be time to upgrade.
