    hey john

that works ok when working in the sequence, but what if you have this scenario.

you have 3 camera angles re-linked with your sync audio and now you want to
use the multicam feature. when you do a match frame, it pulls the orginal audio
into the preview, not your new sync.

i think merge is the feature i want, but when i select the video & new audio for sync,
merge isn’t an option (greyed out)

    ps
i did read the other posts in the cow about this, but didnt’ seem like i could
    find the easiest resolution.

    thanks again!

from what ive gathered, you can not merge a video clip that already has audio
    (which mine does)

does this mean i have to do another step and strip out all my unusable “camera” audio?

the billings app is pretty attractive
especially at the $39 price point & iphone integration.

I remember reading that you can do this with the XML. Globally changing font characteristics.
I Can’t remember how exactly, but you might be able to find something online.

Sorry i don’t have more info.

December 12, 2009 at 4:17 am in reply to: HD Project: Sony Vegas or Final Cut Pro? Why?

    This is from Sony’s website-

    Question
How can I use OMF files that were made with AVID within Vegas?

    Answer
Vegas does not support OMF, but Vegas 6.0 (and newer) now supports AAF (“Advanced Authoring Format”) which is a new format that builds substantially upon OMF. With that being said, use the AAF format rather than OMF for Vegas.
