I’ll second the OWC Raid. I’ve been using the 4TB model with no issues.

note: this issue happened after i exported an animation/alpha project.

almost seems like now the alpha is messed up in the project. VERY weird.
i guess a reinstall is due.

I have to agree with Chris.

I know ALOT of people shun “free” work, but sometimes it can really open doors.
I’m not saying ALL situations are like that, but getting yourself out there (and your work) is half the battle.

    Ask questions. Trust your gut.

I’m fortunate to say since i did a free project it snowballed into me getting a full-time gig.
    Not a bad deal considering!!

January 18, 2010 at 6:57 am in reply to: How to replace source audio?

    yet another query

when i merge the clips it retains the original audio,
    1&2 are my source audio
2&3 are the new merged audio

is there anyway to override the 1&2 tracks?

ultimately i am trying to sync audio (from a dual-sync shoot), merge and then
use my different takes in a multiclip…

id like to just get rid of the original audio, since its not being used, and makes
the multiclip function a bit messy

    also-

sometimes you have to close and relaunch FCP, depending when you connected your camera.

so i tried that method (*on a bin level) and ‘merge’ in the menu is still not available

1st- found the audio file & selected
2nd- found the video file & selected
    3rd- go to modify

    attached is a screen grab….
i feel like such a noob!!

is this feature to be done on a bin level as opposed to the sequence?
maybe thats my issue, although i would image it would work both ways.

    thanks for your input
