I think I had this problem once or twice before. If I remember rightly, I ran the “reset default settings” program and it solved the issue – I think.

    Hi,

We have three studios. I’m not a technician or broadcast engineer, merely a Director, so I can only really give you an artistic opinion on things as opposed to technical. We have three differing screen technologies spread throughout our studios:-
    Single projector rear projector screens
Multiple cube array rear projector untits
    Plasma screens

Out of all of them, and assuming the correct cc units and synchronisers are present the plasma screen (our are 63 inch) deliver consistently the best picture quality both in luminance terms, colour and crispness.

The RP units bloom then the bulbs start to die away slowly but luminance issues constantly need addressing (I appreciate you weren’t asking about RP technology but I feel like grinding this particular axe right now :o) I would steer clear of them personally, IMHO. Oh, and RP units of the single projector kind require heaps of space even when using a mirror system to reduce the throw. Grrr – my precious studio space whittled down by poor purchases (not by me I might add!).

Plasma each and every time for me. We run our studios live for 17 hours each and every day of the year, and in three years have not had one single hitch. Great picture quality, require very little space (special consideration must be given to their weight though) and dont suffer any drop-off with viewing angles.

    Just my two pennies worth.

    Hope that helps.

I have this card in my laptop, and no, Avid doesn’t recognise it on initialising. However, if you use another sound card, ie some sort of soundblaster, it will recognise that there is a soundcard in your system. Strangely enough, when you run Avid with a second soundcard, then change the windows settings back to your realtek HD card, it will still work.

Strange, but the only solution is to add another card.

    Hi,

Simply unzip the emitter into you emitter library folder in the PI3 default directory.

April 8, 2005 at 7:16 pm in reply to: XP Pro HD Upgrade 5.1.2 Download Problem

    Me again,

OK, so I’m downloading it from another PC, using the same browser. It seems that my machine isn’t allowing the open, save, cancel dialogue box to display for osme reason. All the pop-up blockers are turned off. Could it be something to do with the something like java? Unfortunately I’m a totally ignorant of this sort of pronlem, so it’s a wild, and probably crazy, stab in the dark.

Thank you so much for trying to help.

    Hiya,

I’ve replied to the mail you sent. No joy I’m afraid. I dont get it. I have absolutley no problems with any other sites at all.

You wouldn’t have any further ideas at all would you? Links on the final downlaod page in seperate panes are working, but nothing happens like, erm, downloading, or anything that says “to start download, click…”

    This is really odd.

    Hi Marianna,

When you say “username and password”, which are you referring to? All the info I’ve been asked for is my full name, and my system ID.

I’d be happy to send you the details if you could just clarify what it is you require.

    Thank you for your assistance,

    Shaun
