    YOu have three good choices:

Aurora Fuse-X (Or Pipe Pro if you want 10-bit and SDI options)
Decklink SP (or Decklink Extreme if you want SDI options)
    AJA I/O LA.

FCP won’t choke. As long as you have a fast drive array capable of HD, like a Fibrechannel or SCSI 2 array, or an 8 drive SATA RAID. You can edit full res HD all day long.

Doh! Graeme is right…REVERSE TELECINE. Dang my and my terminology.

And yes, you can reverse telecine to 23.98. I’ve done it twice. Cinema Tools does this, as does FCP.

Was the footage telecined to digibeta or D5, dubbed to DVCAM then captured? Were you given an ALE or flex file? Did you use this to make a batch list in FCP? Or was this telecined directly to DVCAM for a negative cut?

Just curious as to your workflow.

Open both projects. Click on the Old Project’s tab in the browser and drag it to the right…you will have a separate window. Click on the sequence and drag it into the new project.

Don’t use the strobe for film effect. Film doesn’t strobe like that.

Use the Nattress Effects and you will be set.

How are you conforming it? With Cinema Tools?

I don’t have any ideas how to do what you are asking…not from captured material. I never in my experience with 3 non-linear edit systems have I noted a way to output from the system to tape sending the clip timecode to the deck. The NLE doesn’t send out that information…it sends out the timeline information.

The only way I have known to transfer clips with their timecode is by dubbing them deck to deck, how stock footage companies do it when we order master footage.

Maybe someone else will have a better answer.

Open the old project. The sequences will all be there.

Plus, the fonts that were available were the fonts on your system at the time. If you are on the same system and you haven’t changed anything, or removed fonts, they should all be there.
