  • Are you saying you can damage your camera by using it to playback videos as they are captured into Premier?

  • Thanks Chris,

I’m actually using Final Cut Express HD 3 to be more specific.
The original video is AVC Coding which could be the reason too.

And have been using Quicktime Pro for any encoding/compression
jobs. I have never been 100% happy with the end results.
H.264/AAC seems to look nice in most cases though.

Thanks for telling me about Telestream. I just checked out
    Episode and it looks amazing!

One more question. I’ve read on here somewhere that some people
don’t use Final Cut Pro as an encoder. But rather export as a
Quicktime Movie to be encoded with other software. In my experience
exporting a Quicktime Movie, the video always looks blurry/ugly.
This is coming from an NTSC 720×480 4:3 Project project.
    Also, I’m shooting with a Panasonic AG-DVX100A.
Could this really be because I’m using Final Cut Express HD
    and not Pro?

  • I called in and they send me an e-mail stating the parts:

The following 3 items together will provide AC power:

Part Number: DE-852DE AC ADAPTER $98.43

Part Number: K2CB2CB00006 AC CABLE $11.44

Part Number: K2GJ2DZ00023 DC CABLE $40.34

I hope this helps you and anyone else in needs.

  • So…did you every find out where to get this part?
Please post it here if you do/did already.

I’m currently looking for it too and cannot find
anything. Glad to see I’m not alone.

Alan Okey! Thank you for the most helpful answer
I’ve ever received on a forum in my life!

That answers more questions than I posted.

The original file was an animation in Flash.
I had the hardest time getting Flash MX 2004 to
export a Quicktime Video file with audio, but
worked perfectly without…which is why I need
Quicktime Pro. I really need to study up on
    the different ratios as well.

I am pretty sure the the file I am trying to
    encode is for Broadcast.

Here is the video (YouTube quality):

    Thanks again.
