With what John has posted, does this include the audio stream as well, or just the video one, meaning I’ll still need a separate AC3 file to go with the Blu-ray file? Because, again, I’m not authoring the Blu-ray of my project, someone else is. And so I want to give them all the files they’ll need, and when I say that, I mean the high end, separate video and audio file, and a generic file that will have both the audio and video in one, like some MPEG2’s do. If someone, like John, can give me a basic rundown on this, I’d appreciate it.

What should I change the template in the templates setting to better optimize my DVD’s final viewing quality:
I know to change the video rendering quality to Best under “Project”, but is there anything else I should do? Should the width be 720×480 when the project, natively, is 1920×1080? If so, will that change the quality of the final product? Also, should I use the pulldown method as suggested, or switch it to just 23.976?

Make sure that you give the audio and video the same filename, just with a different file type (e.g., my_movie.mpg, my_movie.ac3)”
So I’m rendering out a silenced video and an audio track with no video attached to it. How (and this is a broad question) would my DVD burning software know to use both these files when burning them on a disc, and make them in sync? Or am I misunderstanding something here?

Here is a link to some more screenshots from my film. I’m having a tough time whitening up that van without making everything look blue, because as it is, everything has that orange-tint to it. I want to go for a natural, film-look, something like this:

I suppose I owe you all a quick explanation.
My crew and I are on a level of film making where trust has to be held. So when time isn’t on your side to check every shot, when you look at your DP and ask how it looks, and he says “Great”, you have no choice but to accept that and move on. And then, when you get the footage and look at it, you want to kick yourself in the head.
There were other factors that went into why some of the footage turned out the way it did, but that’s neither here nor there for this group.

So do you guys suggest that I color correct first, then go in and adjust the brightness, or do them both at the same time?

Yeah but look at how grained up that image is.
Is this something I’m going to have to deal with, no matter the route I take to brighten the image?

Any way to un-do that? I have backup copies of my edit saved, so I’m not worried about being screwed or anything. Just would like to know for future reference.
