    Hi Erik,

There are many ways of doing this. When you are showing the inside of your box you don’t need the backcover texture to show in your texture comp. Open my project, open “Cover_Texture” comp in a new window and see how the texture layers were placed in time to show a different map.

Another way would be to simply duplicate your backside, switch off the Outside Edges in the Set-Up window, then click on the Object Styles tab and choose Unlink Object Style from the Swatch menu. You need to do this last step to be able to give your duplicate its own texture map. Now you can create a new texture material and assign it to your backcover. You may need to push the object in the Z-axis a bit if it is covering the inside of your box.
BTW. Before you duplicate your object, make sure that in your user prefs (Located in the Set-Up window) all parameters for Duplication Offset are set to (0).

Salut and show us a small clip of what you did. Promise?

    Hi,

John is right, this is something I would also do in a 3D program.

If you are not after perfection though, the manipulation tools implement a pretty useful “Squeezer” I can’t remember the name right now but it looks like two squares and an arrow. Using it in combination with the ai file I created for you in the following project, you may reach a passable snowboard.

    Looks like this:

    Hi Ken,

First welcome to the Invigorator world!

If you open my project and go to the Set-Up window, you could by cliking on “select invisible” and unchecking the “Make Invisible” box see the pivot point. Notice its Set #

The pivot point must be assigned after its creation to a new empty set. You then align it as you wish best as I did, right at the corner of the box then you select all what needs to pivot and assign it to the same set then the Pivot Point.

In the Scene Preview window select the set where the pivot point resides and click on “Recenter” at the bottom of the set menu.
Now you are ready to animate the set to open the box.

Make a search for Pivot Point you may even find a visual.

    Salut.

    Hey Max,

Actually if you open the Illustrator file, you will recognize exactly how each shape was drawn and imagined. A good way to learn is to import those layers one after the other inside Invigorator and build the object from the start.

I will think about a tutorial when I get time next year. Promissed.

Happy new year to you too Max.

    Hi Vinnie,

    Thanks for the kind words.

The bumpy holder you mean (I think). It’s just a question of applying the right edge. Half Pipe in this case gave me the result I was after.

    Happy new year.

    Hi,

Your texture comp has to be in the same comp then the Invigorator layer.

    Salut.

    Hey my friend,

Feel free to use the project as you wish.
There is for the momemt no tutorial about the case but if you open the ai file you will see how it was constructed. The case animates in three points Set1 for the front cover set3 will animate the CD and the camera will rotate etc… the entire object.

Salut and happy new year buddy.
