3D DVD BOX Inside
Posted by Serge Hamad on December 29, 2005 at 8:49 pmHi everyone,
Flumsie asked for this one. As he is a hobbyists I created this one for him to have fun.
If you are skilled at IL it should take you around two houres to create this object using Invigorator Pro.Now if just Ron Lindeboom could burn his great song and add a clip to the DVD…:-)

December 29, 2005 at 10:09 pmThanks Serge,
exactly what I was looking for. As hobbyist…it can take so much time to develop the wheel for the 2nd time. Your effort is of great help!
Best, Erik

Hi Serge,
Thanks for the kind words. It’s nice to know that you liked it.
I have been working hard practicing my drums and learning the violin and mandolin. One of these days when I get a chance, I will go into the studio and do a few more songs.
Have a wonderful new year and give the family big hugs for me and Kathlyn.
It is an honor to know you, Serge.
Best always,
Ron Lindeboom

[Ron Lindeboom] “I have been working hard practicing my drums and learning the violin and mandolin.”
I always wonder how you manage to find the time for this! I love mandolin. When I was a teen, we used to meet at the beach in Algiers almost every evening and play this beautiful instrument. Ah! The good old memories…
Have a wonderful new year too.
Big hug from Kyan & Haleh.

December 30, 2005 at 12:37 amFirst, thanks for the DVD contribution, the mov looks great, but I must be something wrong.
When I open the DVD_BOX.aep it gives me two comps, comp 2 is a noise layer, and comp 1 is an inner ring of the DVD Box. I look at the DVD_BOX.mov and it’s so much more. Am I doing something wrong?
DVD_BOX.sit is 533 KB, the uncompressed sit is 2.72 MB. The Folder has the 2,382 KB DVD_BOX.aep and a 406 KB DVD_CASE.ai file (that I don’t see used anywhere).
I don’t have Invig Pro, only the Invig Classic that came with AE6.5, could that be it?

December 30, 2005 at 1:04 amHi Yikesmikes,
Thanks for noticing this. I uploaded the wrong file. Sorry. The download should work now properly.
To open the project you should download a demo of Invigorator Pro though. You could then make some notes on how the maps are applied…Then reconstruct the object later on using Invigorator Classic.
I will do a classic version when I get time.
BTW. Could you please shoot me an e-mail at serge at msn dot com. There is something I wanted to ask you.Thanks.
Salut.

December 30, 2005 at 2:33 amThanks for the updated file. You don’t have to do it in Classic. I can figure it out.
I get a botched delivery for serge at msn dot com, it says –
Reason: Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable
I noticed your NYC Visual site was under construction.

December 30, 2005 at 2:29 pmSerge,
one final question and you’ll never here of me again! 😉
I want to rotate the DVD 360 degrees. How do I assign the backorder image (I already have it in appropriate size) to the back solid of your DVD model?
Thanks! and best 2006

December 30, 2005 at 3:45 pmSerge: I am working on a personal art project that involves “flying” into CD cover art (ie HBOs Carnivale Open). Is there a Cow tutorial for this CD cover animation? I have both 3DI and Proanimator 4 (AE plugin as well).
If not, I would appreciate it if I could use your file as a jumping off point
for my project. It is for my use only. Thanks.
