    Hi,

I would advise you to use a particle generator for this. Foam, Particle Playground, Shatter or 3rd party plugs like Particular from https://www.trapcode.com would do just fine.

Let us know if you have any questions.

    Salut.

    Salut Justin,

I hate to say it, but Invigorator as well as AE is not the right software for serious character animation. I would advise you to start learning/using a 3D program for this. As to Jon’s explanation, trust me it was not Chinese 🙂 It’s just that ProAnimator works differently. I am certain that with your skills and interest [I kept an eye on you in the forums:-)] you would soon discover a completely new animation technique that will astonish you as an after effects user.

    Au plaisir.

    Hi,

In the Set-Up window, select your object and click on the Set pop up menu that says (1). Then click on another set number.

  • Hi Julian,

I will as soon as I am done with some projects, create a couple of tutorials that would include the basic of interpreting shapes, using Illustrator to create all kind of Invigorator objects. I am also working on a product called “Invigomany Volume One” that includes a bunch of useful projects from which you may learn even more tricks, like creating all sorts of objects, maps etc… Using Invigorator Classic & Pro.
It will soon be announced here at the Cow & NYC-VISUAL and will cost a reasonable price.

Meanwhile if you have questions about the DVD Box or CD Case, just go ahead.

    Salut.

  • Hi Filip,

    Just to get you going:

[Filip Vandueren] “- how to fake reflections of your surrounding comp in a shiny object.”

You could use your BG or a part of your surrounding as a reflection layer map.

[Filip Vandueren] “- dropping shadows on other layers ?”

It all depends on your animation here, but if you map the layer you want to cast shadows on to a plane in Invigorator (The plane must have the same aspect ratio then your layer) You will this way integrat your layer to the Invigorator world and be able to have it interact with the other objects.

If you have questions just let us know.

    Salut.
