Hey, I’m on a Mac, and you raise a fine point…I don’t think I do which would explain it. Also, I realize I need to learn the purpose for AME to begin with. I usually export directly from Premiere.

Ahh, but I do struggle Chris. I do. 🙂
I simply cannot find any dropdown menu in Premier media export or AME that contains Pro res (CS6). Not in the media encoder area, or other. When it goes to AME, the same dropdowns are available as in Premier. Must be missing something I suppose.

I’m using Ppro CS6 and looking at the export images in this thread, I’m assuming they’re screenshots from the export media box inside Premier, as I can’t find any dropdown that has pro res.
Also, if I choose queue to got the AME, it just comes in as whatever settings Premier sent over. I too am struggling with simply exporting a full HD video from Premier as a quicktime file.
Any help?

Hi Abel,
Go in to the export dialogue box, choose Quicktime, then under presets, choose HD 720p. That will give you a 1280×720 quicktime file. Does that help?

Pete, can you help?
I have the problem – all the mts files are offline after foolishly moving the root “Private” file during a project. I’ve tried to follow your steps above but don’t know how to follow them to relink these mts files. Hours of work at stake here. How do I find the locate window you’re talking about? Not sure what you’re describing. I can’t drill down past the ‘private’ file to get to the mts files to relink them

Another question – in your image you show quicktime, h.264, 1280×720 (linked). When I set it to quicktime, h.264, and change the size to 1280×720 (while linked) it won’t accept it and changes from 1280 to 1080 for example. I can only get your pictured settings by unlinking the height & width.

Thanks for any info on this plus my last question about the bitrate.
